As a Server/Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Performing technical tasks, including server, network, and IT infrastructure installations, as well as ongoing support.
Playing an integral role in security and compliance for clients.
Diagnosing, repairing, and servicing all components in a business computing environment, including VoIP technologies.
Travel as needed, typically within a two-hour radius
Required Skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems (2025 and older), including virtual technology, including Hyper-V and VMWare.
Proficient with Microsoft 365’s Email, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure, and On-Prem Exchange Server configurations.
Expertise with Server Roles and Features commonly found within organizations, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, etc.
Expertise in the configuration and use of Group Policy Objects.
Technical expertise in PC Operating Systems (Windows 11, 10, and 7).
Troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including Switches, Networking protocols, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and QOS.
Advanced skillset with Security Appliances (Firewalls) and VPN configurations.
Familiarity with security tools like MDR, EDR, A/V, as well as Multifactor authentication.
Qualifications
Previous experience in an equivalent position (5+ years minimum)
Strong interpersonal communication skills to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to approach challenges creatively and consider multiple perspectives.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to document tasks thoroughly.
An individual who excels in collaboration and teamwork.
Industry certifications, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Security+, A+, Network+, and SonicWall, are preferred.
Reliable vehicle for travel to client sites. The vehicle must be registered and insured, and the candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to sit and stand for a period of time.
Vision to read printed materials and see a computer screen; and hearing and speech (English Language) to communicate in person and over the telephone.
Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 75 pounds periodically.
