Computer Talk with TAB Wins First Runner Up in the Category, Radio Personality

TAB Computer Systems is excited to announce that “Computer Talk with TAB” was voted First Runner-Up in the 2025 Best of Hartford Awards in the category of Local People > Radio Personality.

“Computer Talk with TAB” is hosted by Erik Semmel, Vice President of Client Success, and Dennis Halnon, Escalation Technician. Erik has hosted the radio show for over thirty years, while Dennis joined him five years ago, following the retirement of their long-time co-host. We are thrilled for Erik and Dennis! You can tune into their show every Saturday from 9 AM to 11 AM on WTIC News/Talk 1080, as well as on Facebook and YouTube. If you miss the live broadcast, you can listen to the podcast on the Audacy app.

If you haven’t listened to the show, Erik and Dennis assist callers with their computer issues. The show started with the goal of helping listeners with their technology issues live on air, and that premise remains the same today. In addition to troubleshooting, Erik and Dennis now interview guests who are experts in the technology field. Each two-hour episode is packed with information covering everything from printer issues to computer and cell phone challenges.

In recent years, a dedicated Facebook group has been created where listeners can comment and post questions about their most pressing computer issues. We hope you get the chance to listen; it’s one of the longest-running radio shows in Connecticut.

The Best of Hartford is an annual tradition, initially organized by Hartford Magazine in the early 2000s, that celebrates the top businesses, services, and personalities in the Greater Hartford Area, as voted for by the public. The Hartford Courant has continued this tradition since 2018.
