Position Overview

TAB Computer Systems, Inc., a 100% employee-owned Managed Service Provider (MSP), is seeking a Maintenance Analyst Technician to join our growing technical team. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical support with proactive system maintenance and monitoring to ensure optimal performance and security across our client environments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and able to balance day-to-day troubleshooting with long-term system health and reliability.

As a Maintenance Analyst Technician, you will be responsible for:

Technical Support
  • Diagnose and resolve end-user issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents via Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms.
  • Support cloud-based services and applications, including Microsoft 365, cloud backups, and endpoint security tools (e.g., Huntress).
  • Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi systems, firewalls, routers, switches, and both cloud and on-prem environments.
Maintenance & Monitoring
  • Continuously monitor system performance and health using tools like ConnectWise Automate (RMM).
  • Review and respond to alerts (e.g., failed backups, low disk space, antivirus/malware detections).
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, patch management, antivirus configuration, and backup integrity checks.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for client environments (hardware inventories, network configurations, credentials, etc.).
  • Analyze logs and system reports to identify trends, risks, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Recommend and implement proactive measures to enhance system stability, security, and efficiency.
  • Track hardware/software inventory, license compliance, and warranty information.
  • Conduct disaster recovery testing as part of ongoing backup verification.

This position is responsible for triaging and managing alerts, requests, and issues related to:

  • Huntress
  • SentinelOne
  • Blackpoint
  • PDOG Web Defense (Black/Whitelisting)
  • SonicWall (Black/Whitelisting)
  • PDOG Email Defense (PPE) Tickets
  • Microsoft 365 Licensing Requests
  • General Licensing Requests (Visio, Project, Entra, etc.)
Physical Requirements
  • Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to sit and stand for a period of time.
  • Vision to read printed materials and see a computer screen; and hearing and speech (English Language) to communicate in person and over the telephone.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

Additional Details
  • TAB operates a 24/7 support service, and technicians are occasionally required to assist during evenings or weekends in the event of a client emergency on a rotational basis.
